"It was a privilege to have Eric McElvenny as Mission Beach Women's Club speaker for our fall kick-off meeting.  Eric is a dynamic speaker using his own tragedy in becoming an inspiration to others with physical disabilities.  With is faith, support of his family and others he has accomplished so much in his 31 years.  Eric is one of our American Heroes we can be proud of."

Testimonials

"I have asked Eric McElvenny on several occasions to speak to my Management 300, Organizational Behavior Class at the University of San Diego, on the topic of leadership. The reviews from the students are always outstanding, several students have even commented ‘best guest speaker ever!’ I am confident they will not forget Eric’s presentation and his stories will continue to guide them for the rest of their lives as they assume leadership positions themselves."
Patricia Reily, Ed.D. (Commander, USN, retired)

Understanding Differences

        Abilities Awareness, Disabilities

Eric has been fortunate to spend time presenting to elementary and middle school age children about what it is like having a disability.  The children respond so positively and even begin to look at their own strengths and weaknesses through a different lens.

          Prosthetics, Physical Therapy, Endurance Sports

Although Eric is not certified in prosthetics or physical therapy, he has presented at universities about his experiences as an amputee competing in endurance sports and the different aspects that need to be considered when doing so.

Faith Based

Eric is a Christian.  He attends Gracepoint Church in San Diego and has a deep relationship with the LORD.  This is where his strength comes from. Eric is currently a Seminary student studying at Bethel Seminary San Diego. Sometimes it is easiest for us to see God's work when looking through the rearview mirror.  God's fingerprints are found along the paths of our lives and Eric explores some of those in his life's story.
